Author How-To

Dear Authors,

Thank you for submitting your manuscript to our journal. Below is a brief overview of the submission, review, and publication process.

Submitting and Tracking Your Article

  1. Log in to My Account.
  2. Select Manage Submissions to view the status of your article.

Peer Review Process

  1. Your submission will be assigned to an editor and sent for peer review.
  2. Once reviews are complete, you will receive one of the following decisions:
    • Accepted
    • Revisions Requested
    • Rejected

Revisions and Final Submission

  1. If revisions are requested, update your manuscript based on reviewer feedback.
  2. Log in to My Account, go to Manage Submissions, and upload your revised or final version as instructed.

Final Publication

  1. After acceptance, the editorial team will add final journal information (running head, logo, competencies, and quiz/discussion questions).
  2. Once finalized, your article will be scheduled for publication in an upcoming journal edition.

Editor How-To

Dear Editors,

Thank you for serving as an editor for our journal. Below is a brief overview of your responsibilities and the basic steps for managing article submissions within the system.

Managing Submissions

  1. Log in to My Account.
  2. Select Manage Submissions.
  3. Choose a submitted article from the list.
  4. Assign an Editor to oversee the manuscript.
  5. Assign one or more Reviewers.

After Reviews Are Submitted

  1. Review the feedback and select a decision:
    • Accept
    • Request Revisions
    • Reject
  2. Communicate the decision to the author through the system.

Final Version and Publication

  1. Once an article is accepted and final journal information has been added (running head, logo, competencies, and quiz/discussion questions), upload the final version.
  2. Select accepted articles to Publish for the appropriate journal edition.

Reviewer How-To

Dear Reviewers,

Thank you for agreeing to serve as a reviewer for our journal. Your expertise is essential to maintaining the quality of our publications. Below is a brief overview of the review process and your responsibilities.

Accessing Assigned Reviews

  1. Log in to My Account. → Log In and Access Editor Tools - Digital Commons
  2. Select Manage Submissions. → View and Manage Submitted Manuscripts - Digital Commons
  3. Choose the manuscript assigned to you for review.

Completing the Review

  1. Read the manuscript and evaluate it based on the journal’s review criteria.
  2. Enter your comments and recommendations in the system.
  3. Select a recommendation:
    • Accept
    • Request Revisions
    • Reject

Submitting Your Review

  1. Submit your completed review through the system by the assigned deadline.
