Abstract
A letter published in Computer magazine expressed concern over the validity of citing uniform resource locators (URLs) in journals. The letter elicited varying response from readers of the magazine. Some readers cite instances of URLs that do not contain sufficient information, making them unreliable. There are those, however, who believe that URL use will have a positive impact in publishing and information acquisition.
