Abstract
Teachers need to gain skills in deep thinking and problem-solving related to critical issues impacting the field. Learning from experienced teachers can be an impactful experience in which students confront dilemmas or encounter something unexpected that forces deeper reflection and learning. This chapter examines how embedding an oral history project as a community-based learning experience (CBTL) into an early childhood teacher education program can facilitate transformation for students, teachers, and the community
