Abstract

The title compound, [Ir(C8H4F3O2S)(C12H10N)2]·C4H8O2, contains two cyclo-metallated 3-methyl-2-phenyl-pyridine ligands and one thenoyltrifluoro- acetonate ligand. The central IrIII atom has a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry, with the C atoms being cis and the N atoms trans. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.
