Abstract
An exactly solvable hard-core Bose-Hubbard model, which is equivalent to a mean filed plus nearest-level pairing theory, for a description of well-deformed nuclei is used and applied to the actinide region. Binding energies and pairing excitation energies of 226-234Th, 230-240U, and 236-243Pu isotopes are calculated and compared with the corresponding experimental values.
