Abstract
The role of quantum deformation in isovector pairing interactions in nuclei was discussed. A quantum deformed generalization of a classical nuclear theory was considered for the analysis of the role of the deformation. The deformation parameter was analyzed by relating physical quantities, other than the Hamiltonian itself, with generators of the Cartan subalgebra of the principal symmetry group. the quantum deformation of the considered Sp(4) algebra could also be used to explore higher-order correlations within the nuclear theory without changing the nature of the operators that measures physical quantities and with or without changing the overall strength of the interaction.
