Abstract
A general mathematical theory of the imaging process for pixelated detectors with collimators having lattice hole-patterns is introduced. The reductions in sensitivity associated with both commensurate collimator lattices and pixel recalibration are estimated. Finally, two new methods are proposed for the elimination of the Moire artifacts.
