Abstract
The quantum interference effects on the absorption and stimulated emission in driven three-level systems with a dressed-state approach were presented. Decay in the driving transitions was found to cause asymmetries between absorption and stimulated emission and the coherent driving field. This phenomena occurs in two different quantum-mechanical paths for the interference.
