Abstract
A discussion on gravity drainage as an alternative to Water-Alternating-Gas (WAG) process covers the need for EOR; UD EOR scene; commercial implementation of gas injection EOR, e.g., the WAG process; gravity stable gas injection; the gas assisted gravity drainage process, including the concept and potential advantages; experimental verification of tertiary gas injection EOR modes; and experimental demonstration against continuous gas injection and WAG in 6-ft long Berea corefloods. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the AIChE 2004 Annual Meeting (Austin, TX 11/7-12/2004).
