Abstract
Statistically based preventive maintenance (PM) programs depend largely on the quality of data available to the engineers. The focus of this research was to develop a data quality decision support system that evaluates input data to detect potentially problematic data. The system detects outliers of the data set, trends that are apparent in the time to failure data, and takes into account the effects of using small data sets when modeling preventive maintenance. The system was developed in Level 5 Object, with statistical calculations performed in C++.
