Abstract
LSU Libraries recently formed our Scholarly Publications and Analytics Unit. In addition to maintaining content such as university yearbooks, catalogs, and other documents, our new unit placed a greater focus on adding scholarly works to the IR. We created a policy that governs what is acceptable for inclusion in the IR. Items deemed suitable to be digitized were print-based journals based at LSU, various university departmental magazines, and reports detailing studies performed at LSU. In this session, we will demonstrate how our new unit created an IR policy, located scholarly materials, and teamed with the Interlibrary Loan unit to use existing staff, scanners, and interlibrary loan software to manage IR digitization requests.
