Abstract
Student success as a programmatic concept for academic libraries is becoming increasingly prevalent, though what constitutes student success and how librarians’ work intersects with that concept is much debated and varies by institution. We surveyed academic librarians nationwide who self-identified as working in the sphere of student success and asked a variety of questions related to their positions, definitions of student success, and library and institutional goals around student success. Survey results showed that although the goals of librarians are often similar or identical, the framework for student success at the organizational and institutional level varies a great deal.
