Abstract
Mornings After documents the unravelling of an image-obsessed adult eldest son after he’s selected to beta test a violent VR game. “Party Animals,” at once skewering and honoring drinking culture, spotlights a troubled young woman’s surrender to self-destruction. These linked pieces chronicle the ripple effects of addiction, investigate the price of fantasy, and ultimately ask how much we’re willing to sacrifice to find our own twisted versions of release.
