Abstract

cannibal farm is a book of poetry which attempts to engage with identity, violence, and self-image in a world that is becoming ever more connected even as it becomes more polarized. Utilizing a variety of voices and characters which manifest in ways ranging from fairy-tale reflection to internet avatar, these poems feature an unflinching first-person perspective that vacillates from manic to despondent as it considers the destructive effect its words might have on both the world around it—a world that seems ever more to be coming apart at the seams—and upon itself.
