Abstract
Hot Gossip is the fractured embodiment of Frankie Collier and William McKinley, whose lives are merely fodder for gossip in Noon City, Alabama. This work is a visual, structural, and stylistic experiment in narrative. Drawing from works various as Carson McCullers’ The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, Donald Barthelme’s Snow White, and Shane Jones’ Light Boxes, the result of Hot Gossip is a compression of life, the repression of desire, and the suppression of what makes us most human: the need to be loved.
