Abstract
Existing theories of off-bank sediment transport cannot account for rapid rates of sedimentation observed in Bahama bank and Florida shelf periplatform environments. Accelerated off-bank transport of shallow- water mud may be achieved by sinking off-bank flows of sediment-changed hyperpycnal (super-dense) platform waters. -from Authors
