Abstract
We present a distributed execution environment for multi-agent systems running in an intermittently-connected network. We describe the design and implementation of a microkernel-based prototype operating system layer that provides services for managing agent execution. The execution environment provides the user with a consistent view of a single machine, a single file system, and a unified programming model. © 2013 IEEE.
