Abstract
Relations between energy oscillation and nonactive powers, such as the reactive, harmonic and unbalanced powers, are analyzed in this paper. Conclusions with respect to this relation that can be drawn based on the Currents' Physical Components (CPC) power theory and the Poynting Vector are compared in this paper as well. The paper shows that the physical interpretation of nonactive powers, and in particular the reactive power, as an effect of eneray oscillation is erroneous.
