Abstract
Correctness of conclusions drawn in the paper "Instantaneous reactive power p-q theory: a right power theory or a useful control algorithm of switching compensators" published in Przegla̧d Elektrotechniczny, R. 82 Nr. 6/2006, is analyzed in this paper. It is shown that conclusions of that paper are not right. This refers mainly to the possibility of instantaneous identification of three-phase loads. It is shown as well, that the lack of physical fundamentals is the main drawback of that theory rather than not correctly selected names of the main quantities the theory is based on.
