Abstract
Results from a study of design of robust feedback controllers for systems described by second order nonlinear models are reported. Studied was construction of a single stabilizing feedback controller for a parametrized family of second order type system models with hard spring nonlinearity (Duffing equation) and bounded control values. It has been found that a single controller can achieve stabilization and approximate minimum settling time when the model uncertainty is represented by a parameter taking values in a closed interval. Comparison to an optimal controller is based on use of isochronal curves.
