Abstract
This entry introduces robust and optimal control methods for networked feedback control. The methods of sector bound, multiplicative uncertainty, relative uncertainty, and fading channel are used to solve robust stabilization of networked control systems. Analytical stabilization results are given in terms of the Mahler measure. By modeling random delay and packet drop channel as a finite-state Markov process, linear quadratic Gaussian optimal control results are obtained by the Markovian jump linear system theory.
