Abstract
A novel feedback control design method is proposed to tackle nonlinear fluid flow dynamics based on POD-ROMs (Proper Orthogonal Decomposition)-(Reduced Order Models). The design method aims to not only regionally stabilize the nonlinear dynamics asymptotically but also to maximize the estimated domain of attraction (DOA) and to ensure nominal performance at each operating point. More importantly a path of operating points is programmed based on the assumption of centered - cover that leads to a sequence of linear controllers that regionally stabilize the desired operating point asymptotically. Simulation results of a 2D (spatial) driven cavity flow are worked out to illustrate our proposed design method. © 2011 Chinese Assoc of Automati.
