Abstract
In this paper, the networked control systems (NCSs) in discrete-time with quantized fading channel are studied. It is assumed that the transmission channel exists between the controller output and the plant input, and its effect is modeled as a combination of logarithmic quantization and multiplicative random noises. The stabilization problem of the underlying NCS under state feedback is investigated for both single-input and multi-input cases. The solvability condition of the problem is given by the relationship between the channel capacity and the system's Mahler measure. When the condition holds, both the stabilizing controller and the resource allocation are constructed. © 2013 AACC American Automatic Control Council.
