Abstract
The minimax robustness of the uniform power allocation in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems is analyzed. The uniform power allocation across transmit antennas maximize the minimum average mutual information of a MIMO system across the class of any arbitrary correlated fading channels. The total power of the fades at the transmitter side and the receiver side could be obtained if the channel state information is perfectly known at the receiver side only. It is observed that an arbitrary choice of the eigenvector minimize the mutual information as long as only one eigenvalue of each is nonzero.
