Abstract
The monomer, 2-pentadecyl aniline, was spread at air-aqueous interfaces to produce stable monolayer films. Its surface pressure and surface potential isotherms are discussed. Polymerization of 2-pentadecyl aniline confined to a monolayer with a Langmuir trough was also studied. By using the trough itself as an instrument to probe the polymerization, the effects of initiator concentration and subphase acid concentration on the polymerization reaction are discussed. © 1992.
