Abstract
Acid-catalyzed tetermerization of 4-ethyl-5-(hydroxymethyl)-3-raethylpyrrole-2-carboxylic acid(1) is shown to produce a mixture of all four etioporphyrin primary —type-isomers–, rather than solely etioporphvrin-I (2). © 1979, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
