Abstract
In order to aid in elucidation of the structure of the active components in hematoporphyrin derivative (Hpd), the first syntheses of an ether-linked hematoporphyrin dimer (6) and trimer (12) are described. After ester hydrolysis, these compounds were positively identified, by comparative HPLC, as components in Photofrin®-II. © 1988.
