Abstract
Syntheses and spectroscopic properties of pyropheophorbide-porphyrin dimers and a bis-pyropheophorbide-porphyrin trimer are described. Fluorescence spectroscopic data of the oligomers reveal that the macrocycles in the systems are only weakly coupled.
