Abstract
Many members of the herpesvirus family have been shown to bind heparan sulfate on the surface of target cells. A previous report on bovine herpesvirus-1 (BHV-1) glycoprotein interactions indicated that only gC bound to heparin-agarose columns. In this report, we demonstrated that both gC and gB of wild-type BHV-1 bound to heparin-agarose columns and that gC-minus virus infectivity was inhibited by heparin. © 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
