Abstract
The United States Department of Agriculture and the US Department of Energy have awarded a $791 568 grant to researchers of the Louisiana State University (LSU) AgCenter for the examination of wood or other agricultural fibers for use in composites. By combining waste plastics with natural fibers to produce high-quality industrial products, the researchers hope to provide a solution for using biomass resources in composites.
