Abstract
Development of electrochemical hydride generation (EcHG) atomic spectrometiy and the application of the technique in the past years were reviewed. The prospects of the EcHG, including the extending element range for EcHG, the mechanism of electrode reaction, interferences and elimination, were also discussed.
