The Department of Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness at Louisiana State University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of agribusiness and agricultural economics. Undergraduate students can pursue a B.S. degree in Agribusiness with concentrations in Agribusiness Finance, Food Industry Management, International Business, and Rural Development. Graduate students can pursue an M.S. and Ph.D. degree in the areas of agribusiness management, natural resource and environmental policy, production economics, marketing and international trade.
The mission of the Department is to generate, apply, and disseminate knowledge on a wide range of issues important to agribusiness, agricultural production, food marketing, farm policy, natural resource use, and rural development, in Louisiana, the nation, and the global community, employing throughout the highest scholarly standards in the teaching, research, and outreach/extension programs that are integral to the purpose of the Land Grant University System.
