Abstract
With the use of a fragment mass analyzer, the [Formula Presented] decay of [Formula Presented] was identified in [Formula Presented] bombardments of [Formula Presented] At least three α transitions were observed but on the basis of the data obtained it was not possible to conclude if they originate from one or more levels in [Formula Presented] In the same irradiations a new α group was also identified in [Formula Presented] decay. Based on energy and half-life systematics, it appears that [Formula Presented] in contrast to the isomers in heavier odd-A Tl nuclei, is not the [Formula Presented] intruder level but rather the [Formula Presented] proton state. © 1998 The American Physical Society.
