Abstract
The deposition of titanium nitride on Fe3O4 was studied and found to disrupt the interface via the formation of FeO, and the concurrent loss of magnetization, rendering it an unsuitable interlayer material for Fe3O4 based on multilayer magnetoconductive devices. Preliminary results on STO support the idea that it preserves the Fe3O4 film intact, thus proving to be a promising alternative for interlayer materials.
