Abstract
A stationary principle is set up to calculate the spin susceptibility of a many electron system with the equations obeyed by the one-electron Green's function and the appropriate irreducible vertex function (which are mutually coupled) as constraints, thereby incorporating properly the corresponding renormalizations. The results are discussed briefly. © 1977.
