Abstract
Effect of an external field on decoherence was analyzed. Measurement of decoherence was based on probability distributions in phase space, momentum space, or coordinate space. A dynamical system in which the particle loses energy due to the emission of bath excitations was considered. Results indicated that a nonrandom external force was not the cause of decoherence.
