Abstract
In a continuing study of the spectroscopy of the bb̄ bound quark systems the discovery of the lowest P-wave bound states by observation of photons from the decays 2S13(bb̄)→γ+1PJ3(bb̄) and 1PJ3(bb̄)→γ+1S13(bb̄) is reported. The photons are observed as narrow enhancements in the inclusive photon spectrum from ′ decays. The center of gravity of the PJ3 states (χb), the fine-structure splitting, and the branching ratios for the two transitions are given. © 1983 The American Physical Society.
