Abstract
We design feedback controllers for two species chemostats so that an equilibrium with arbitrary prescribed positive species concentrations becomes globally asymptotically stable. We use a new global explicit strict Lyapunov function construction, which allows us to quantify the effects of disturbances using the input-to-state stability paradigm. We assume that only a linear combination of the species concentrations is known. We illustrate our approach using a numerical example. © 2009, IEEE. All rights reserved.
