Asylum and Mass Detention at the U.S.-Mexico Border during Covid-19
Abstract / Resumen / Resumo
COVID-19 has drastically changed the world in a short time. For this perspective we examine the reactions at the U.S. Mexico border which are escalating potentially deadly practices, such as expedited deportations and mass detention. We explore the potential danger in this approach as well as the potential for an escalation in militarized violence along the border.
