Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand Regional Human Resource Development (Regional HRD) in Southeast Asia from an ecosystems perspective. This vantage point sees Regional HRD as a large collection of actors, networks, and forces across various dimensions that organically interact and shape how HRD emerges as a phenomenon in the region. This chapter describes the study’s research framework, research questions, and methodology; the various data sources; the data collection strategy and inclusion and exclusion criteria; and the data screening, coding, and analysis processes. The chapter concludes with a brief discussion of the advantages and limitations of this research design for achieving the intended research objective.
