The file is a compressed 7z file. Uncompress it will yield a text file readable by MATLAB or any other text reading program. Time series of measured vertical profiles of horizontal velocity components from an acoustic Doppler current profiler at the Barataria Bay are presented. It was measured from a broadband Workhorse ADCP mounted on the side of a 26-ft small catamaran moving along planned lines for a full day. Presented here in the data file include these variables: time in days, longitude of the vessel, latitude of the vessel, depth of the sample, total depth of the water column, the east component of the horizontal velocity, and the north component of the horizontal velocity. These are from the raw data without any treatment. No post calibration of the misalignment and scaling factor has been done yet.
