Abstract
Research in Interactive Computer Music (ICM) is based upon the paradigm that the electronic medium serves as an accompaniment to the human performer. In this paper, we present a software package that reacts on an event-by-event basis rather than a temporal basis. We discuss this software in the context of the Virtual Instrument Paradigm.
