Biography of all authors

Mohammad Javad Najafirad is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ. His research interests include dissipativity theory, distributed control, and networked control systems, with applications to AC/DC microgrids and renewable energy integration. He was a Best Student Paper Finalist at the 2025 American Control Conference.

Shirantha Welikala received the B.Sc. degree from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2015, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in systems engineering from Boston University in 2019 and 2021, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ. His research interests include control of networked systems, passivity, and smart grid. He is a recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award in Systems Engineering and the 2019 and 2023 President's Awards for Scientific Research in Sri Lanka.
