Biography of all authors
Mason Mathias is a first-year graduate student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University, working under Dr. Chad Rose in the Wearable Bio-Robotics Lab. His research focuses on the development, control, and analysis of wearable robotic systems for rehabilitation, as well as the development and evaluation of open-source hardware for engineering education. He holds a Bachelor's of Mechanical Engineering degree from Auburn University.
Rhet O. Hailey is a doctoral candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University, advised by Dr. Chad G. Rose. His research focuses on the design, control, and evaluation of wearable robotic systems for rehabilitation, with emphasis on adaptive neural network control of upper-extremity exoskeletons and hybrid functional electrical stimulation architectures. He holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Mississippi State University. Chad G. Rose is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University, where he directs the Wearable and Bio-Robotics (WeBR) Lab. His research focuses on the design and control of robotic devices for neurorehabilitation and assistance, physical human-robot interaction, and hands-on mechatronic education. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and Rice University, respectively.
