Abstract
This chapter discusses the involvement with the LSU Curriculum Theory Project from 2019 to the present and how the turmoil, passion and possibilities stemming from that involvement (re) shaped our conceptions of future responsibilities regarding the ethic of care for students, colleagues, and members of local/global communities. The vitality and dedication of Curriculum Theory Project faculty over the last 25 years, coupled with the persistent investment and re-engagement of alumni, have yielded a place and space in which participation in complicated curricular conversations inside and outside classroom walls has been normalized. Besides the graduate student presentations, each year a prominent national or international curriculum theory scholar participates as the keynote speaker for the conference. The implementation of Curriculum Camp as virtual conference proved tricky though, and our students-as-Zoom-pioneers encountered more than a few stumbling blocks while navigating multiple “Zoom rooms”.
