Abstract

This conclusion reflects on the book’s exploration of strategies to combat the isolation of the Eremocene by engaging with the more-than-human world through natureculture performance. Through a new materialist response to Pierre Bourdieu’s concept of habitus, the authors emphasize how the interconnectedness of human and non-human materialities offer naturecultural performers a method through which they may participate in both aesthetic and everyday life performance composition. Finally, this chapter encourages scholars to develop their own approaches to naturecultural performance, offering hope in the Eremocene through collaborative acts of performance.
