Abstract
Non-linear resilient modulus models are generally used for accurate characterization of the granular subgrade soils. This paper evaluates three characterization models in their predictability to the resilient modulus of sandy soil. This analysis shows that the model which uses triaxial test stresses provides reasonable predictions of resilient properties. This model also adequately accounts for the moisture content and dry density effects.
