Abstract
The control of DNA activities is discussed with focus on a light-based modulation system for control. This control of DNA activities is of interest in gene therapy and diagonostic assays. The DNA can be chemically blocked by attaching photosensitive cage compounds that can be subsequently activated with light to control DNA function.
